It is often said that rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck…if that is the case then I think that Scott and Amber have a very lucky marriage coming as it was uncharacteristically wet for their late July wedding at Genesis Farms in Enumclaw. Fortunately it was also quite warm so the rain actually felt rather refreshing….
A few weeks ago I broke down and bought a point and shoot digital camera. Most of my friends laugh at me calling it a point and shoot because it is rather big and powerful…but I like to have control….anyhow I bought it for two main reasons – to take into concerts where professional gear is frowned upon and to get super cool ring shots. I was thinking about buying a special macro lens to get close up detail shots but I had worked with this point and shoot in a past life and knew that it’s macro feature was more impressive than any real macro lens I had used on a DSLR….plus the camera itself cost less than a great macro lens and I can get concert photographs too…the first is taken with my new Canon S3 IS and the second is taken with my Nikon D200 and a non macro lens…both are sharp pictures of the rings and flowers but you can see why this little toy excites me so much:

Yes, the rings are there…but small…

Ok, enough geekystuff…onto the emotions…
