George and Amy’s wedding at Saint Spiridon Orthodox Cathedral

If I had to some up George and Amy’s wedding in one word I think it would be wow.  Or quite possibly it could be laughter.  Or love.   The good thing is I don’t have stick to one word (or one image) to show off an amazing ceremony and celebration with two of the most genuinely kind people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

First Amy waiting inside to see George for the first time:

Not at all surprised that George had to put some fun into the first look:

I think I said something when I posted their engagement session about how I had no doubt that these two would never stop laughing – so far so good:

The wedding party inside this gorgeous cathedral:

Amy with her big sister:

The wedding ceremony:

These two pictures were literally taken a second apart and the facial expressions are almost as priceless as knowing what caused the one second change of face:

George and his mom

Just in case you didn’t make it to the wedding and are George’s friend on Facebook he took a moment to let everyone know his status had changed to married:

The beautiful bride:

Not all portraits in harsh sunshine are bad:

George surprised Amy with musical performance in place of his toast (which is just one of things that make me think he’s awesome!):

The first dance:

My couples are the best. They put total faith in my ideas and trust me when I pick a place for portraits. Years ago someone told me to pick light before you pick background and that was probably the best advice I’ve ever received. This picture is the last image taken and shown only to demonstrate that this was not a classicly “pretty” place for wedding portraits. I mean we’re basically standing on a corner in front of a shopping mall.:)

And the resulting images:
