I love working with artistic people. The fact that Amy is, like me, a second generation photographer makes it especially flattering to be chosen to photograph her wedding in October. Equally flattering is knowing she found me through a friend who had been in a wedding I photographed last year. The longer I am in this business the more I realize having an eye for composition and the the technical skill to take pictures people love is only a small piece of what I do. So much more comes from the people I meet and the relationships I create in the process. I liked Amy and Steve from the moment I met them and had been really looking forward to their engagement session since we scheduled it in March. We really lucked out and had the perfect portrait weather during our engagement session Saturday.
It was warm enough for cute clothes and cool enough to walk around without getting sticky. We had enough cloud cover for pictures on open areas and enough sun for amazing light at the end of the day.
We spent about an hour and a half wandering around Luther Burbank Park here on Mercer Island and found plenty of fun places for pictures. Here are a few favorites:
I can’t wait to see what we come up with on wedding day 🙂
