Roxanne

I had been looking forward to this session since I scheduled it earlier this month. Roxanne is the little sister of Rosalyn who I shot senior portraits for in 2003. I met Roxanne while doing a family session about a year ago and was looking forward to seeing them both again.

Anyhow, we’ve been having our usual fall weather that consists of wind, rain, and lots of dark clouds. I was exicted that the sun was out just enough to provide optimal lighting in a dry environment. As it turns out we had a later than expected start but still enough time to capture our basic goal – a picture for the year book. We’re planing a full session when Roxanne’s letterman’s jacket comes in so this is more a warm up to the real thing. The most interesting part of the session came when we finally decided to leave. It was rather dark and all the park exits were chained closed. It was kind of neat to see such a large number of deer and racoons but I was in no mood for camping. Fortunately we live in an era of cell phones and my best friend was home near a computer and was able to track down a list of numbers – the last of which took us to the person on call who then called someone to come let us out. Anyhow, here are a few that I loved…the first being one of my all time favorites…
