Just Married: Matt and Jody

I adore Matt and Jody for a long list of reasons – their genuine kindness, love of life, and sense of adventure first come to mind. I had wonderful hanging out with them as they finally tied the knot after being together for more than half of their life. I love how personalized this event was – every little detail was stunning. They were married at Jody’s parents’ house on Camano Island and I’m in awe over all the work that went into taking a wooded area full of blackberries and turning it into an amazing place to get married – complete with a hand made gazebo and benches that were made from the logs cleared from their property.

I doubt that this beautiful day popped into the head of Jody’s mom over a decade ago when Matt, then 14, told her that he was going to marry her daughter…and with that sweet little story that must make you go “awwee” I think it is time for some pictures…lots of pictures…

This is one wedding where I have to start with the dress…hand made, silk, purple, and absolutely stunning:

  • Marlena Love - Congratulations, Matt and Jodie!! Matt, whenever you were clear about what you wanted,as a kid, you went after it,and you were a driving force that kept at it until you got it. Seeing the tender expressions on your faces and what you were able to envision and create out of the wilderness tells me this is another wise decision that will lend power to your journey ahead. You look like a great team. Wishing you miles of smiles-
