Just Married: Bill and Lacey – W.W. Seymour Botanical Conservatory and C.I. Shenanigans – Tacoma, WA

Anyone who is planning a wedding in the Seattle/Tacoma area knows that the weather can be a little crazy and that you should expect the unexpected. I was however a little surprised to find it snowing the day before the late March wedding and even more surprised to find myself driving through a hail storm to get from one picture location to the next. I lucked out though as Bill and Lacey (and all of their friends and family) had quite the sense of adventure and didn’t mind a frequent change of scenery so that we could stay dry and shaded enough to get fun pictures.

I am very excited to finally get everything in the new blog set up and ready to use for Bill and Lacey’s wedding. I’m loving the format with bigger pictures and I just can’t help but give a little bit longer than normal sneak peak of images…here are just a few of my favorites:

We started at Wright Park but when the clouds opted to dump heavy rain I suggested we take a little trip to the covered sky bridge at The Glass Museum – this is Lacey near her favorite piece of art:

While my style is such that most of my images are created live with minimal posing I do think it is important to take time and create a great set of portraits on wedding day. I think that mentally I get wrapped up in the emotional aspect of live images that sometimes I forget to blog portraits – this year I will try and include them more often and I’ll start with this bridal party picture:
