As a girl who almost always has a camera near by it shouldn’t surprise anyone that taking up scuba diving last fall made me very eager to explore the world of underwater photography.
When you stand on the shore of any body of water in the Pacific Northwest and look down the surface is dark. I was actually quite surprised to find that once you go below the surface a bright and colorful world emerges. Naturally I wanted to document all of the new creatures and spaces I encountered.
Really though – when it comes to photography I am a people person.
While I like shooting fish and sea turtles I’m loving photographing children underwater. Here are a couple images of a girl I think looks like The Little Mermaid:
