A day in the life of…ME!

I spend so much of my life documenting the lives of other people I thought for a nice change of pace I’d make an effort to document a day in my life today – which just happens to be my 27th birthday. I definately missed a few things becuase while it is second nature to follow other people around with a camera it sure isn’t second nature to stop and shot myself all day long…

My day started with a text message that as I tried unsuccessfully to fall back asleep lingered in my wedding photojournalistic brain which thought – that would be a cool way to start a slidesow or album or blog entry… yes even half asleep I still soak up small details and my mind likes to churn them into something picture oriented…

My dog Abby is not much of a morning person either…

I don’t actually drink coffee but I love peppermint hot chocoloate:

It is so convenient that my sister works at a Starbucks in a Safeway – she can bring me hot cholocate and Halls:)

Ok, so one of the odd things in my life is that I pay for cable and have like 300 channels and yet I watch less than 10 hours of TV a month…kind of a waste of money but every now and then it feels good to be lazy for an evening….usually when I’m sick. So last week I called and ordered DVR and the soonest delivery date happened to be my birthday – a nice little present:

Abby had killed this stuffed bird Christmas night which happened to be full of these small plastic balls..which I am now finding everywhere:

Kelly and I had lunch and so I made her ‘go bowling’ on WII. She’s a lot better in real life which is not so true for most of the other wii bowlers I know…

null

Roxanne and Brittney – not sure what this is all about…

A pseudo group picture – with like half the group missing…

See that cake? Susan made it for me from scratch – which I was in awe over even before I tasted it:)

This summarizes my life as a photographer this year – people taking pictures of me shooting…I wonder what her shot looks like….Susan send me pictures!

Ok, I don’t like to do fake things very often, but this happened on accident and then I laughed and had to save it….if you follow the blog closely you’ll totally understand why:

Ok, flairless but fabulous:

Joe always has the funny faces…

I like this picture of Erin even though she’ll probably send me hate mail for it:)

Erin makes a nice hand model in my attempt to create a second wind as this party didnt start until I’d been up for 14 hours:

Ok, so this was board game night and we like Apples to Apples a lot…though I will say it is a very different game with 10 people than with 4:)

The lovely Chloe:

and Ze:

Speaking of Ze – he can sleep through anything:

I really can’t explain how amazingly fortunate I am to have such an awesome group of friends and family that braved the holiday season, nasty weather, and long week to come celebrate with me.
