Elias goes to the park

Imagine for a moment you’ve never felt the tickle of grass on your skin. Personally I have a hard time doing this – after all it is one of those things you’ve done a million times and probably never stop and think about. Watching Eli take his first trip the park and experience grass for the first time was a real treat. Kids have always been one of my favorite subjects because I enjoy witnessing how they see the world and explore things that we as adults so often take for granted.

I love this picture for a few reasons – mainly because Susan and Oleta have been friends since nearly the beginning of time and for some reason I can imagine them playing together as little girls and now they are all grown up with real children:
