Seattle Wedding and Underwater Portrait Photographer Sacha Blue bio picture

Welcome to the Sacha Blue Blog!

I am a passionate wedding and portrait photographer based on a little island just outside of Seattle.

This is the place to see my latest favorite images, find all Sacha Blue announcements, and get to know the girl behind the camera.

I love telling stories, preserving genuine emotions, and basically making a moment in time stand still forever.

I love that people invite me to spend the best days of their lives with them. Even more I adore all of the amazing people I meet in the process and friendships I create along the way.

When I'm not working you're likely to find me at Luther Burbank playing with my dog, scuba diving in Puget Sound, eating Thai food with friends, or checking things off of my 30 By 30 List

The blog goes back over four years and is updated often - so stay for a while, come back soon, and don't forget to bookmark The Sacha Blue Blog!

Chante and Jeremy – An engagement session in Olympia

We started downtown where I learned kissing has been known to make Chante giggle a bit:

In the nearly three years since I photographed Susan and Ze making out in a waterfall I’ve had countless couples insist on getting in water for their engagement sessions. It is always a fun way to add a little...

Noah’s First Crawl

There are a lot of things that go into the creation of a great photograph.   Most would say it is a mix of the photographer having an eye for composition, a mind to understand the technical aspects, and the equipment needed to preserve the scene the way the photographer sees things.  While that is all...

An Underwater Portrait with Multiple Reflections

For years I’ve loved catching reflections of people standing near water in their portraits.   Now I am loving the reflections I am finding as I spend more and more of my time working as an underwater portrait photographer.   Here is one of my favorite examples of  an underwater portrait with really cool reflections:
